Services

Four practices. Priced by milestone.

Each practice stands alone or combines with the others. Every engagement is scoped in writing before a dollar changes hands.

STR

Strategy & Positioning
Typically 3–6 weeks

Decide what the business is for, then price it that way.

Most margin problems are positioning problems wearing a costume. We look at where your revenue actually comes from, what each service line really costs to deliver, and which customers are quietly funding the ones that lose money.

The output is a short, sequenced plan — what to stop, what to raise, what to invest in, and in what order — sized to the team and cash you actually have.

What we do

  • Revenue and margin analysis by service line and client
  • Competitive and market position review
  • Pricing structure and rate card rebuild
  • Service line consolidation or expansion cases

What you get

  • Written strategy document with sequenced priorities
  • Margin model you can update yourself
  • Revised pricing framework with rationale
  • Action list with named owners and target dates

OPS

Operations & Process
Typically 4–10 weeks

Find the bottleneck. Remove it. Write it down.

We map how work actually moves through your business — not how the org chart says it does. That map almost always exposes one or two constraints that are costing far more than everything else combined.

Then we fix them with your team, and document the new way of working so it survives staff turnover and your busy season.

What we do

  • End-to-end workflow mapping and time study
  • Bottleneck and rework analysis
  • Role clarity and handoff redesign
  • Capacity and scheduling planning

What you get

  • Current-state and target-state process maps
  • Written standard operating procedures
  • Handoff and escalation rules by role
  • A short set of operating metrics worth tracking

SYS

Systems & Data
Typically 4–12 weeks

Fewer tools, better numbers, less manual work.

Small businesses rarely have a software problem. They have a six-overlapping-subscriptions problem, with the truth living in one person's spreadsheet. We consolidate the stack, connect what should be connected, and get reporting to a state where you trust it.

Automation only goes in where the process is already sound. Automating a broken workflow just breaks it faster.

What we do

  • Software audit and consolidation plan
  • Tool selection with vendor-neutral scoring
  • Data cleanup and reporting build
  • Targeted automation of repetitive admin

What you get

  • Consolidated tool stack with cost comparison
  • Working dashboards and recurring reports
  • Documented data definitions everyone agrees on
  • Handover training for the people who use it daily

ADV

Ongoing Advisory
Monthly, rolling

A standing outside seat at your leadership table.

For owners who don't need a project but do need someone who will ask the uncomfortable question on a fixed schedule. A monthly review of the numbers, the plan, and what got dropped since last time.

Billed monthly, cancellable with notice, and reviewed every quarter so it never becomes a subscription nobody remembers signing.

What we do

  • Monthly leadership or owner review session
  • Performance review against the agreed plan
  • Decision support on hires, pricing, and investment
  • Accountability follow-up between sessions

What you get

  • Written summary and action list after each session
  • Reasonable email and phone access in between
  • Quarterly reset of priorities
  • Preferential scheduling on project work

The process

Five stages, in this order, every time.

This sequence is fixed. It is what keeps scope honest and stops an engagement drifting into open-ended billing.

01

Consult

A no-cost conversation about the problem. We tell you plainly whether we are the right fit.

02

Scope

Deliverables, milestones, timeline, and fees agreed in a written document before work begins.

03

Diagnose

Data, interviews, and workflow mapping. Findings are shown to you before conclusions are drawn.

04

Deliver

Work released milestone by milestone, revised as reasonably needed until you approve it.

05

Hand over

Documentation, training, and a follow-up check so your team runs it without us.

Billing

Invoices follow delivery. Not the other way round.

Fees depend on scope, so we quote per engagement rather than publishing a rate card that would be wrong for most of the businesses reading it. What does not change is how the money works.

No deposit

Nothing paid upfront

There is no charge for work that has not been delivered. Every project starts with a consult, and scope and milestones are agreed in writing before anything begins.

Milestones

Invoiced on approval

An invoice is issued only after a milestone has been completed, revised as reasonably needed, and approved by you.

Revisions

Included, not upsold

Reasonable revisions required to reach the agreed outcome are part of the milestone. They are never billed as extras.

Refunds

Pro rata if we can't finish

If a project cannot be completed, you receive a pro rata refund for any milestone that was paid for but not delivered.

Unreached work

Not charged

If work was carried out but a milestone was not reached, that milestone is not invoiced. The risk of getting there sits with us.
