About

A consultancy built around one question.

“What is actually happening here?” — asked properly, answered with evidence, before anyone proposes a solution.

Our story

We started because good businesses were being sold bad clarity.

Clearview Strategy was founded on a straightforward observation: the businesses that most need outside help are the ones least able to absorb a bad engagement. A large deposit, a glossy deck, a set of recommendations nobody can act on — and the underlying problem is still there six months later, now with less cash behind it.

We built the practice to work the other way around. Diagnosis before prescription. Written scope before invoicing. Payment only after something has been delivered and approved. It is a slower way to sell and a much better way to be judged.

If you can't see the problem clearly, you can't price the solution honestly.

Today we work from Caledon with owner-led companies across the Greater Toronto Area and southern Ontario. Most of our work arrives by referral from a previous client, which is the only marketing metric we pay close attention to.

We are deliberately small. We take on a limited number of engagements at a time so the person who scoped your project is the person doing the work.

How we work

Five principles we will not trade away.

These are not values on a wall. Each one changes something concrete about how an engagement runs.

01

Diagnose before prescribing

No recommendation is made until we have mapped the actual workflow and looked at the actual numbers. If a consultant knows the answer before the first site visit, they are selling a product, not advice.

02

Scope in writing, always

Deliverables, milestones, timelines, and fees are agreed in a written document before work begins. Nothing starts on a handshake and a verbal number, for your protection and ours.

03

Bill after delivery

An invoice follows an approved milestone. It never precedes one. If a milestone isn't reached, it isn't charged — even if work was done toward it.

04

Revisions are part of the job

Reasonable revisions needed to hit the agreed outcome are included in the milestone. Getting it right is the deliverable, not an add-on line item.

05

Leave, on purpose

Every engagement is designed to end with your team running the process without us. Retainers exist because clients ask for them, not because we engineered dependency.

The practical details

What working with us actually looks like.

Most projects run four to twelve weeks across two to five milestones. Advisory retainers run monthly with a rolling notice period.

How we start

A consult, at no cost. We listen, ask questions, and tell you honestly whether we are the right fit — including when we aren't.

What you get

Written deliverables you own outright: process maps, procedure documents, reporting, and a sequenced action plan with named owners.

How you pay

Milestone invoicing through Stripe or PayPal, quoted in CAD. Pro rata refunds on any paid but undelivered milestone.

Next step

Book the consult. Decide afterwards.

No deposit, no obligation, no deck. One conversation about what is going wrong and whether we are the right people to help.
